This painting was part of and article in American Visions Magazine published in 1987 the subject was: Building The Future For Black Families. Other artist included were Jacob Lawrence, Henry O. Tanner, Elizabeth Catlett, Varnette P. Honeywood, William H. Johnson, Patrick Morelli, and Pheoris West. This was a good moment for me to be included with so many well known artist. The little girl in the picture is my wife as a child. The picture is painted in watercolor and is about 22″ x 17″
