  1. Ray – There’s something about that little old guy with the cart, and the other one in the wheelchair . . . you always manage to touch my emotions and that’s not easy to do! Lovely as always, but then you know I love your work!

  2. Ray, what a beautiful choice of colors, and depiction of citiscapes so common here in NJ and I’m sure in many other places. I wondered where it might be…or is it not anyplace in particular?

    Great work. ~claudia

  3. Ray, you have a God-given talent. Your paintings have life to them. This one tells so many stories. I would like to know each of these characters stories.

  4. I’m always excited when you present new paintings. We can see the roads and places you travel…the things that are on your mind and in your heart..what you enjoy and what you are passions are creatively. From the very first time I encountered your work oh so many moons ago[smile] LOL…I wanted to see more because I learn the importance of staying focused on developing and pushing the creative possibilities of the subject matter what ever it may be and with whatever mediums I decided to utilize in my own work as a visual artist. OUTSTANDING ART RAY!

  5. Ray:
This is awesome. I remember the other painting in it’s initial stages. (smile) Continue to move forward and allow God’s gift in you to be demonstrated. Gooooooo Ray!!

  6. I don’t know you personally, but I bet the time will come when I will know you as famous gifted artist. You have a God-give talent Ray, but you must be given most of the credit, because you recognize your talent and you are honoring God by allowing that talent to flourish, and by sharing it with the world.

  7. Ray,

  8. What a wonderful depiction of city life. You have artfully portrayed people, small businesses, and activities so familiar to many of us city and suburbanites.

    Continued success to you, Ray!

Rosie tweeted this announcement to me. Thanks, Rosie.

  9. Ray, I’m not sure if these paintings brought the same twinkle to your eye as mine, as well as the fond memories they brought with them. “Downtown” reminds me so much of the view of the corner store across the street from the steps of my old church in Newark, NJ. “Lake Luzerne” & “Peniel IV” brought back precious memories of Camp Peniel. I think we had the same Pastor…Pastor Grover C. Wilcox. He was surely a wonderful blessing from God. I stumbled upon your site searching for something else & probably wouldn’t find it again…please feel free to email. God Bless !

  10. WhatZ up Ray love shadows and shading..you’ve got it ..makes you stop look and want more.
